Solid black, brown, fawn, grey, pale fawn, white or more or less pied.
Barbets are companionable, joyful, obedient, intelligent, and loyal. They excel as bird retrievers and hunters, but also make faithful companions and great family dogs. They have webbed feet and are excellent swimmers. The Barbet is an ancestral breed of many familiar breeds today, including the Poodle and Briard.
Good with children?
Usually considered good for allergy sufferers.
Minimal shedding if properly maintained. If not groomed, tufts of hair may come out.
