Color: Blue and tan. The blue may be silver blue, pigeon blue or slate blue, the tan deep and rich.

General characteristics/temperament: The Silky Terrier is alert, active, friendly, and responsive. They can adapt well to all living situations, but do require attention and to be made an integral part of their family.

Energy/Activity Level: High

Suitable canine sports/activities: obedience, rally, agility, earthdog, flyball

Exercise requirement: Daily walks and/or play sessions.

Grooming requirement: Brush and comb daily. The long, silky coat is prone to matting. Bathe regularly.

Known health problems: Patellar luxation, tracheal collapse, epilepsy, hypothyroidism, hypoglycemia.
