Color: Brindle, or black with brindle trim.

General characteristics/temperament: The Treeing Tennessee Brindle is intelligent, courageous, alert, fast, and affectionate. They have great scenting power, a good voice, and a strong instinct to tree all kinds of game. They get along well with other dogs and with older, well-behaved children. Because of their strong hunting instinct, they might view smaller pets as prey. They are quick learners and respond well to positive training, but do not tolerate harsh treatment. They are very energetic and require a lot of strenuous exercise. They make loving and loyal companions.

Exercise requirement: They require strenuous exercise on a daily basis. Daily walks are not enough.
