General characteristics/temperament: The Treeing Walker Coonhound is confident, energetic, alert, intelligent, courteous, fast, courageous, loving, . They have a strong desire to perform as well as superb endurance and treeing ability, allowing them to excel at competitive coonhound events. Great with children and generally easy to train, they make excellent family pets if their intense exercise needs can be met.
